Steven H. Perreault
Documentary and Lifestyle Photographer
I was given the middle name of Heinz after my paternal grandfather. Turns out he was a very influential person in my life; some of the first memories I have are of him taking family photographs. Everywhere he went, his camera followed. Through his example, I became fascinated with photography. I wish he was still with us today to see how far I have taken this passion.
When I started investing myself seriously about 20 years ago, I was immediately drawn to live performances which combined my two passions of music and photography; for 7 years I owned and managed the website cornershopstudios that was dedicated to both. With the birth of my first child, I realized that the rush and excitement brought on by live performances, could be found in everyday moments. My son's first smile, first steps, first everything. As he's grown older, taking his photo has evolved to be just as unpredictable as shooting a rock star on stage! And capturing those perfect moments has become more important.
Time passes by so quickly, we often don't take the time to preserve everyday moments into memories. In 25, 50, 100 years from now, what will your children and grandchildren have to look back on?
My photographs capture real life, real moments, real emotions. It can be as mundane as a Saturday morning family breakfast to life's big moments like weddings or birthdays. A sequence of candid, raw photographs that tell the story of your life. These are the types of moments I want to help preserve for you and your family: Build a legacy.
